Statement of Faith for

  1. We affirm the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God, breathed out by the Holy Spirit to mankind. These Scriptures are the only authoritative foundation and rule for all theology, morality and wisdom, and are to be studied, applied, and proclaimed as the mission for the church and for all of life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Matthew 5:18; 24:35; John 17:17).

  2. We affirm that there is only one true God who exists in three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They exist together in perfect, unbroken fellowship; one in essence, yet distinct in their role. They are co-eternal in being and nature, and are co-equal in power and worth (Matthew 28:19; John 12:44-45; 14:25-26; 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 2:9-10; 1 John 5:6-8).

  3. We affirm that Jesus Christ is God who came to earth in human form, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on a cross as the only true sacrifice to pay for sin. He bodily rose again in three days to conquer death and to provide the gift of salvation and eternal life to all who put their faith in Him. He is the only means of forgiveness and the only way to God (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; John 1:14; 14:6-11; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:21-22; 1 John 3:5; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:7; Acts 4:12; John 3:16).

  4. We affirm that the Holy Spirit is in the world to convict man of his sinfulness and his need for a Savior. He enlightens, regenerates, indwells, empowers and gifts all believers in Christ. He enables believers to understand and interpret God’s Word, and empowers them to live it out in their lives. He permanently indwells every true believer as the seal and guarantee for their eternal inheritance (John 14:16; 14:26; 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 5:32; 9:31; Romans 5:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 1:13-14; 2 Timothy 1:14; Titus 3:5-6).

  5. We affirm that God created all things, but created humans alone in His image to have fellowship with Him. Because man chose to disobey God, sin entered the world and man’s fellowship with God was broken. Sin plunged man into a hopeless state, entirely unable to remedy his condition on his own, and subjected him to God’s divine judgment (Genesis 1:1; 1:26-31; 3:1-24; Psalms 33:6-9; 102:25; John 1:3; 1:8-10; Romans 2:5; 3:23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3).

  6. We affirm that God provided the only means to restore man’s relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. This salvation is the free gift of God, made possible only by His grace, not by anything man can do. All who believe in Jesus Christ are declared righteous, completely forgiven of their sin, and free from the penalty of God’s judgment (John 1:12; 3:16-17; 5:24; 20:31; Romans 5:1-10; 8:1-2; Ephesians 2:8-9, 13; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; 2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:3-8).

  7. We affirm that once a person is truly saved through faith in Jesus Christ, he can never lose his salvation because his eternal security does not depend on his own efforts, but on the promise of God through the finished work of Christ on the cross. Salvation gives man new birth into the family of God, adopted as His children and sealed by the Holy Spirit for all eternity (John 10:27-29; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 4:30; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Romans 8:35-39; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; 2 Timothy 1:12; 1 John 5:13).

This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
